Orlando Pirates filled a formal complaints against Mamelodi Sundowns

 

Orlando Pirates' 14-game unbeaten run came to an end as Mamelodi Sundowns secured a 2-1 win at FNB Stadium yesterday. The Sundowns side, led by Miguel Cardoso, took a 2-0 lead into halftime, thanks to a brace from Brayan Leon. Pirates pulled one back early in the second half through Patrick Maswaganyi, but Sundowns' defense held strong to secure the victory.


Sundowns' goalkeeper Ronwen Williams was instrumental in the win, making crucial saves to deny Pirates' chances. The result cuts Pirates' lead at the top of the Betway Premiership to three points, with Sundowns having a game in hand. Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou urged his team to keep a level head, saying "nothing is lost" and that the league title race is still wide open.


Orlando Pirates were denied a clear penalty to level the game, Orlando Pirates management are furious and are taking the matter so high. Orlando Pirates chairman Irvine khoza have filed a formal complaints about the situation. Requesting for the match to be replayed.
