Kaizer Chiefs’ long-term target, Feisal Salum, has been given Azam FC’s blessing to move this offseason after turning down a contract extension with the Tanzanian club. Thabit Zacharia, Azam’s spokesperson, stated, “We expect Feisal to deliver results because we are paying him well. However, if he chooses to leave, it will be his decision. We are not blocking his exit.” He continued, “We have no plans to sell Feisal, but if a club meets our expectations with an offer, we will not stand in his way. As of now, we have not received any offers.”
AmaKhosi coach Nasreddine Nabi, who has fond memories of working with Salum during their time together at Young Africans, guided the Tanzanian club to two consecutive Premier League titles between 2021 and 2023. Since Nabi’s arrival at Kaizer Chiefs, the club has been heavily linked with the 27-year-old midfielder. With a potential opportunity to sign Salum, Chiefs are expected to make their move in the winter transfer window. However, they will likely face stiff competition for his signature. In addition to Salum, Chiefs are also reportedly interested in Congolese forward Andy Boyeli, who has been in excellent form during his debut season with Sekhukhune United.
