Official: Kaizer Chiefs Announce Exit of Five Young Players - Details

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that five young players have been sent out on loan as the club continues its commitment to developing emerging talent through regular senior football exposure away from Naturena. The players loaned out are Sfiso Timba, Vicky Mkhawana, Ofentse Kgosana, Manqoba Ozoemena, and Nkosana Mbuthu, with each youngster joining a different club in order to gain valuable match experience and accelerate their development.

Midfielder Sfiso Timba has joined Gomora United, while Vicky Mkhawana will continue his progress at Kruger United FC. Defender Ofentse Kgosana and midfielder Manqoba Ozoemena have both moved to Casric Stars, a club well known for trusting young players with early responsibility at senior level. Nkosana Mbuthu, meanwhile, has completed a loan move to Leicesterford City, where he is expected to feature regularly. Chiefs have also made use of loan deals within the Betway Premiership. Samkelo Zwane and Sifiso Mashiane joined Siwelele FC before the start of the season, while Sabelo Radebe was loaned to Richards Bay FC after being deemed surplus to requirements. Winger Donay Jansen experienced a similar situation before returning to the Kaizer Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) squad.

The club’s development strategy extends beyond South Africa, with centre-back Sima Bobo currently on loan at Mochudi Centre Chiefs in Botswana, while left-sided defender Xolani Cossa is also gaining international exposure with Black Lions. These loan moves follow a historic campaign for the Kaizer Chiefs Reserves, who lifted the DDC title last season. The young Amakhosi finished with a record 70 points, winning 22 of their 30 matches and suffering just two defeats, underlining the strength of Chiefs’ youth development system.
