Kaizer Chiefs are not done yet in the current transfer window, with several more changes expected at Naturena ahead of the 2025/26 PSL season.
So far, Amakhosi have completed 18 squad movements — including the signing of six new players, the promotion of four DDC youngsters, and the release of eight players.
But more deals are brewing.
Three Chiefs Stars Facing Exit
Goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari is set to leave the club, as he does not feature in head coach Nasreddine Nabi’s plans for the new season. Midfielder Edson Castillo is also expected to depart soon, with reports suggesting Nabi is open to his exit to create space for new foreign signings.
Two Signings Close, Striker Still Wanted
Chiefs remain focused on strengthening their attack and are currently considering Dzenan Zajmovic. Out-of-favour Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro is also on their radar, although the player is taking time to decide his future while training alone.
Nabi confirmed interest in Zajmovic, saying:
“If the opportunity arises to recruit him – especially if he has residency – then yes.”
Deals Nearing Completion
In addition to the striker hunt, Amakhosi are close to finalising deals for Asenele Velebayi (winger) and Luke Maartman (midfielder) from PSL rivals. Both players have reportedly agreed personal terms, pending the resolution of ongoing legal disputes.
