Mamelodi Sundowns are in active discussions to extend the contract of their veteran striker Peter Shalulile, aiming to secure his services for at least one more season. The club, known for rewarding experienced and loyal players, is taking steps to ensure Shalulile remains part of the team, much like they did with veterans Themba Zwane and Denis Onyango. Despite having less playing time under new coach Miguel Cardoso, Shalulile has continued to deliver, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists across 47 appearances in the 2024/2025 campaign—many of which came from the bench.
At 31, the Namibian international is still considered a crucial asset for the Brazilians, and his impact on the pitch has made a strong case for a contract renewal. A short-term deal, similar to the one Zwane signed earlier in the year, is currently being discussed and could see Shalulile stay at Chloorkop until 2026.
