Kaizer Chiefs’ Transfer Window Heats Up with Two Big Targets

Kaizer Chiefs are making serious moves ahead of the upcoming transfer window, with two key targets emerging: Mamelodi Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro and Tanzanian midfielder Feisal Salum.

According to Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi have renewed their interest in Ighodaro, who is currently on the books of Sundowns. A source confirmed that Chiefs have made contact, reigniting interest that dates back to his loan spell at Chippa United.

“Yes, it’s true. Chiefs are believed to have enquired about Mamelodi Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro,” a source revealed. “The same scouts who brought him to Sundowns are involved in these talks for Chiefs. They tried previously but missed out when Sundowns loaned him to SuperSport United. Now they may have a real chance.”

Meanwhile, head coach Nasreddine Nabi is reportedly moving aggressively in his pursuit of Feisal Salum. The Chiefs tactician is said to have personally travelled to Tanzania for direct talks with the midfielder, a player he has long admired.

“Nabi reportedly held a crucial meeting with Salum. Sources close to the player say he is now highly receptive to the project and eager to join Chiefs next season,” an insider told The South African.

Chiefs’ previous attempts to land Salum fell through due to valuation differences. However, the latest developments suggest the Glamour Boys could finally land their man.

With both Ighodaro and Salum potentially on the horizon, Chiefs fans can look forward to a refreshed squad under Nabi’s guidance.
